2)borrowed ur brother's/sister's/frenz' concession ezlink for 'unlawful' usage
3)'tried' to tap ur ezlink but opps! not enuf money! and u silently make ur way to the back of the bus...

BEWARE

The Public Transport Council Bill in singapore has juz been admended to give the council greater powers... so to make a grand start... they have decided to allow bus operators to earn back some of the $90 million they claimed to have lost due to fare evasions.

wat's a more better idea than having FINES! yes! in singapore.. if u can't talk ur way thru... FINE them! juz like the recent mercedes-blocking-the-road event... many complained that the $70 fine given to the mercedes driver was peanuts! it should have been more! but wat can the poor lone traffic police do? maximum fine for illegal parking is $70 and apparently 'logically' speaking the driver had done nuth else wrong... perhaps someone should try to work out an equation for fines calculation... tt would be great...

So now, the penalty for fare cheats is S$20 for underpayment or non-payment and S$50 for abusing concession cards.

Refusal to pay will land you in court with a maximum penalty of S$2,000 for repeat offenders. (who in the right mind would not pay a fare of say $1.30 and risk facing a maximum penalty of $2K???!!!!!)

BE AFRAID..... BE VERY AFRAID....
