there have been much singing competitions lately. it's sprouting up like beansprouts after the singapore idol. now, we have the superstar thing and today i've juz watched another 'competition' with gan at IMM held by 88.3 fm.

this sort is competition is good ya know. we can finally see singaporeans daring enough to bare their bathroom macarena dance steps in the auditions. haha. so much for local comedy. and singaporeans love to complain, gossip. then is like one big cycle. ppl who like to gossip and ppl who want ppl to gossip about them. it fuels the whole thing.

todays 'competition' held at IMM was so funni and highly gossipable. haha. from the few hours of performance there, we saw ourselves being transported back to the 70's and 80's where we see ppl decked in shiny, translucent black long sleeved shirts and black faux leather pants. of course, the look isnt completed without the kiwi-ed pair of black shoes. the slow song was so passe! HELLO.... trembling end notes are soooo not our time now... esp high frequency trembling...

the brillant showcase of the voices of that era isnt over yet with another lady who was decked in a flowing white dress that reminded you nothing but the skinny version of runaway bride. gosh.. her voice realli very cai xing juan. diaozzz....

then the next segment was fast songs... hmmm.... does fast songs mean increasing the tempo of a slow song and then adding some extremely out-of-tempo dance steps. and also techno songs.... liaoz... no words can express my disgust.. haha... no la... but very funni... very very funni.... the techno beats and the dance steps...

then the results were announced. not as wat we have expected. but on the whole, i give 98% for entertainment. and 99% for giving some kinda hell to my ears for that few hours.. haha.....
